Traffic Backup on I-80 East After Crash (No Sound)

A portion of I-80 east near Mustang reopened to traffic after emergency guardrail repairs after a Thursday morning crash.

Nevada State Police says the crash happened just before 2:30 a.m. and involved a semi-truck hitting a parked motorhome and then a guardrail.

One person was hospitalized with minor injuries.

NDOT says highway maintenance crews repaired 182 feet of damaged guardrail and installed 21 new posts.

The roadway was fully reopened around 12:15 p.m.

IR80 eastbound at Washoe Mile Marker 25 - emergency guardrail repair - one lane of travel only. Avoid the area and use alternate route. Lanes closures expected through early afternoon.
