ABOUT US:
KTVN Channel 2 News means “Coverage You Can Count On” to Northern Nevada and parts of California. KTVN first signed on the air on June 4, 1967 as an ABC affiliate. We then became a CBS affiliate on May 10, 1972 and have been ever since. We are owned by Sarkes Tarzian, Inc., named after its founder. Tarzian was an inventor and pioneer of the broadcast medium, having made groundbreaking efforts in FM radio and color television.

Internships at 2 News
2 News offers two paid (minimum wage) internships each Fall, Spring and Summer semester. Priority is given to Journalism students who need internship credits to complete their college curriculum.
The overall goal of the internship is for students to get a thorough understanding of the various jobs and activities involved in producing daily newscasts. Interns will have the opportunity to rotate through those various positions and work alongside professionals to learn writing, producing, reporting, shooting and editing.
The internship schedule can be very flexible to work with the students schedule.

Part-Time Production Assistant
KTVN is seeking a Part-Time Production Assistant.
Job duties include studio camera operation, teleprompter and audio-video operation for live newscasts. Work experience or training in television production preferred, but not required. Must work on a tight time schedule with little supervision. This is an entry-level position.
